Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, a member of ‘Association of the Indian Universities’ and ‘Association of Commonwealth Universities.’ is one of a kind in India established on 2nd December 1985. It is a special university for the Telugu people and Telugu scholars as the University aims to promote Telugu language in the region. Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University has been contributing to the cause of Higher Education through its 7 Schools, 16 Departments and 5 Centres. University also manages the academic activities of 14 Government Music and Dance Colleges spread over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It offers courses in Telugu language, History, Dance, Music, Fine Arts, Jyotisham and Vasthu (UGC recognized), Performing Arts, Social Sciences, Folk Arts, Journalism and Comparative Studies.
